Lovalite

LOVALITE, a young innovative company LOVALITE was founded in 2004 following a technology transfer from the Université de Technologie in Troyes. Lovalite designs and manufactures nanotechnology components for the "near-field microscopy" market for biomedical research and industrial applications and for the "optical interconnections" market for telecommunications.

The method: a network of partners and professionals
In an ongoing relationship with many public and private service providers (the Invest in France Agency, business lawyers, consulting firms etc.), ARD representatives are responsible for making a project sponsor the "best" possible offer in terms of what Franche-Comté can provide.
Through their local partners (agencies, public authorities, professionals etc.) and their capacity to provide a full range of economic information, they have all the expertise necessary to highlight the advantages of FRANCHE-COMTÉ when compared with offers from other French regions.
The quality of this offer (property, land, resources, labor etc.) should make the project sponsor want to know more and to come and see for themselves…
The arguments in favor of FRANCHE-COMTÉ presented to LOVALITE obviously did the trick.

The objective: convince companies that FRANCHE-COMTÉ is the best location for success
Following an initial meeting with the company in Troyes, ARD invited Brahim Dahmani to learn about the assets of Franche-Comté in situ: the Microtechnology Cluster and the Optics Department at FEMTO-ST, the MIMENTO Technology Centre and Temis Innovation.
During this visit to Franche-Comté, ARD brought together all the relevant bodies involved: the Microtechnology Cluster, the economic agency Développement 25, Temis Innovation, the Franche-Comté Management Store, and regional and Besançon-based economic services.
A helping hand came in June 2007 when a joint project with a research team from FEMTO-ST was approved by the Microtechnology Cluster before receiving support from the French National Research Agency. The final decision was made in favor of Franche-Comté over Saint-Étienne and Mulhouse.
On the 28th of August, after almost a year of negotiations, LOVALITE arrived in Besançon.

It is working on a joint project with a research team from FEMTO-ST. This project was approved by the Microtechnology Cluster before receiving support from the French National Research Agency.
