ARD Franche-Comté’s three methods for initiating projects

Responding to prospective investors

Investment inquiries regularly come from the Invest in France Agency and a network of national and international partners. The project selection process weighs regional assets, quality of investment proposals and the investor’s specifications. Each project proposal results in an offer that requires collection of significant data regarding accessibility, economic environment, business sector, quality and availability of labour, training specifications, research and innovation capacity, assistance policy, real estate and funding proposals and quality of life.

Cultivating development

ARD Franche-Comté’s watch system detects potential sources of investment in targeted sectors. Such “weak signals” are analysed so that  Franche-Comté can make a competitive offer. With this approach, Franche-Comté can develop a plan while the project is in development and position itself with investors who might not have considered it otherwise.

Nine development priorities

ARD Franche-Comté’s project managers adjust their efforts to the “maturity” of the targeted business sector. Such sector prospecting requires knowing the industry, its stakeholders and the advantages of Franche-Comté. Prospecting efforts include participation in industry forums, industry encounters abroad, targeted development efforts and visits to regional subsidiaries of international corporations.
