The Pierre Vernier Institute
The Pierre Vernier Institute, created in January 2007, has given FRANCHE-COMTÉ a transfer centre and allows resources to be concentrated thus enhancing the value of research.
6 founder members: UFC, UTBM, ENSMM, CTMN, IP and Préci.

The FRANCHE-COMTÉ incubator
Created in 2000; The Franche-Comte incubator identifying innovative projects, Showing researchers and engineers how to become innovative entrepreneurs, accommodating and supporting them. 

Development of the University of FRANCHE-COMTE
In 1997 the University of Franche-Comté set up a department for development which acts according to the policy defined by the establishment’s scientific council. Its missions are based on laboratory skills in training and research fields. The stated priority is to implement actions promoting the increase of partnerships.
