Since 2007, economic relations between Franche-Comté and Russia have intensified!
In October, the Regional Council signed a charter of cooperation with Altaï concerning the problem of dairy farming and milk processing. Within the context of this cooperation, a Russian delegation will be hosted in Franche-Comté from 13 to 19 March next.
In December, Konstantin Klimovskiy, the Russian consul general in Strasbourg, visited the "forces vives bisontines" (Besançon life forces).
Russia has moved up from 13th to 11th place among the region’s customers.
Certain Franche-Comté companies have already positioned themselves on the Russian market, such as PSA, Vitabri, Fouineteau, Eurosérum, Dimeco Alipresse, Peureux Distilleries, etc.
In 2008, in order to support the international development of Franche-Comté businesses, CCI International plans 2 events in Moscow as part of its scheduled operations: the Prodexpo trade fair in February, and the Agroprodmash trade fair in October.
