The Franche-Comté equine sector in the spotlight

Franche-Comté boasts an equine stock of 18,300 heads, represented by the CRFCC – Franche-Comté Regional Equine Council. This Council brings together draft horse, saddle horse and pony breeders and riders, along with the related activities. The equine sector is managed by 3,300 people and generates 980 full time jobs.
A "Maison du Cheval" (equine centre) will be inaugurated in the autumn of 2008 on the site of the national stud farm in Besançon.
