In the European competition on tourist destinations of excellence organised for the second consecutive year by the European Commission (20 participating countries, 1 prize per country), France was on Thursday 27 May designated the prizewinning French destination. The jury nominated the Jura Tourist Wine Road – organised by the Jura Intertrade Wine Committee, which today brings together approximately 250 wine growers, producers and merchants – as the French destination for excellence for 2008. Franche-Comtė will thus benefit from international promotion with in particular the production of a 10 minute presentation video.
