The Express journal, in collaboration with the Institut Montaigne, reveals the list of 414 French units of excellence. Among them, the noted presence of the Besançon Optical Laboratory : the third largest science laboratory for engineers, 125 declared research teachers, 100 publishing research teachers. The Besançon Historical Sciences Laboratory and the Chrono-Ecology Laboratory are also in the classification.
