University of FRANCHE-COMTÉ
Establishing new areas of knowledge is one of the priorities of the University of Franche-Comté. Besançon Automation Laboratory
The Besançon Automation Laboratory (LAB) was created in 1969 and linked to the CNRS in 1980. It is now a combined research institute of the French National Centre for Scientific Research, the CNRS (UMR 6596) associated in a tri-partite agreement with the University of Franche-Comté, the Higher National School of Mechanical Engineering and Microtechnologies and with the CNRS. It is based on section 07 of the Information Sciences and Technologies department (STIC).
